HullDrone Miami pairs certified Italian underwater robots with a proactive maintenance calendar: biofilm is removed before it ever becomes growth, your antifouling paint keeps doing its job, and every service is captured in HD.
Request a Hull AssessmentTraditional cleaning waits for barnacles to set, then attacks the hull with a scraper. We get there first — the bottom stays healthy, the paint keeps working, and you never feel the performance drop.
Our underwater robots are engineered and built in Italy for one job only: hull care.
| Cleaning speed | 6 m² per minute |
| Brushes | 1 motor, 2 counter-rotating discs |
| Camera | 1080p HD, monitored live |
| Debris capture | On-board filter bag |
| Umbilical | 65 ft (20 m), Kevlar-reinforced |
| Cleaning speed | 12 m² per minute |
| Brushes | 2 motors, 4 counter-rotating discs |
| Camera | 1080p HD, monitored live |
| Debris capture | 5 L on-board filtration |
| Umbilical | 130 ft (40 m), Kevlar-reinforced |
Three brush sets — soft nylon, medium nylon, and stainless steel for props and shafts — are matched to your antifouling's type and age. And on the Signature and Prestige memberships, a professional diver completes the robot's work: propellers, shafts, anodes, seacocks.
Our robots cannot damage the coating — that's a limit of physics, not a marketing promise. And what they lift comes off by suction, not into the water.
A shipyard sander runs at 10,000 oscillations per minute; the robot barely grazes the hull, with under 0.5% of that abrasive power. It is physically incapable of tearing off healthy paint — it only lifts the biofilm the hull would shed underway anyway.
In the water, antifouling forms a spent, already-inactive surface layer. That layer — and only that layer — is what we clean. The active biocide stays sealed inside the paint, not in Biscayne Bay.
The robot brushes and vacuums at the same time: debris goes straight into a 180-micron filter bag, with a proven 80–90% capture rate. No cloud in the water, no film on the neighbor's dock.
That protocol removes any risk of carrying organisms from one hull to another — or from one marina to the next.
A fouled hull burns up to 20–30% more fuel. Maintained continuously, your antifouling lasts longer, haul-outs come further apart, and every hour underway runs at full efficiency.
Illustrative scenario: a 50 ft (15 m) yacht. Making the antifouling last two seasons instead of one removes an entire haul-out-and-repaint cycle from the budget. Fuel savings — up to 20% — come on top.
The nylon brushes we run are covered by a certificate of conformity from ANCCP (EU Notified Body No. 0302): cleaning does not pull biocides out of the antifouling. And on the Signature and Prestige memberships, every service closes with an HD video report and a written log — time, area treated, observations — sent to you, your captain, or your yacht manager, wherever you are.
Concierge-level care for your boat's bottom: from a one-time assessment to a fully managed annual program.
